Stitches

by Katy Nicholson   Mar 8, 2009

Forget about the past
Never what it taught you,
A life can never last
The way that you want it to.

With stitches to my lips
A forced smile on my face,
There's nothing quite like this
That locks this fear in place.

I have a fractured heart
Wound across one eye,
If it's pointless to start
Why bother to try?
