The rain pours down onto my feet.
Today's the day, they'll taste defeat.
I'll raise, aim and shoot my gun,
It's not a game, war isn't fun.
There's blood everywhere, all around,
There's bodies, lifeless on the ground.
The I fall, screaming in pain.
All I see is blood, tears and rain.
Then I close my eyes, for the last time.
I suppose it's time to say good-bye.
Do not cry, it was my choice.
I may have died, but hear my voice.
My voice is the wind, whistling through the trees.
Hear that sound and think of me.
War had killed me, it's taken my life.
It's taken the love away from my wife.
But the war is gone, as am I.
The war has forced me to say good-bye.
