Wow i like the metaphors and the atmosphere which you have crafted into this poem. I can feel the feeling of loneliness as the world come crashing down on you.

Silence shrikes through the night.
I feel safer to just close my eyes.
To imagine deep beneath my lonely thoughts.
I had something to open my eyes to.
