Lasting Memories

My heart is racing
But my body is still
And my mind is chasing
There is no will
They just continue to ramble
All the same and useless
Everything is so confusing and scrambled
One topic that never seems to fade
Something that no one can know
Just my memories that keep being replayed
And becoming so tired and old
Thoughts of that one
That memory in my dreams every night
The memories I should forget
But don't have the will to put up the fight
I can see his eyes and remember
How they made my heart feel
When we used to be together
The memories seem so real
Like I never left the past
I can almost feel his touch
But those dreams end fast
It's just rite there in your clutch
I love those memories so much
You begin to forget the bad
You conscience is blinded
And you waste your time wishing for what you once had
I can still feel him around me
Like he never left my side
But still my heart is empty
Because you were only in my head when I cried
It's been a year
And still to this day
My memories of you
They wont go away
I'm stuck on you
MY heart wants it no other way :(
