I love the word choice in this piece. This can be interpreted many different ways as well. Lovely job!

Did you not lie beneath me?
    My beauty to behold
    DaVinci's canvas lay me bare
    In winter days of old

This was my favorite stanza Deana, the flow, your word choice, just wonderful.

I also enjoyed the way you opened it, baring herself, it was an almost calming, cleansing, image.

    Nice work.

Deana this is such an amazing stanza ! I can't help but to read it over and over again.

    My petals fall like snowflakes
    carried away by the wind
Forbidden fruit will take their place
    Sweet remembrance, woman's sin
    ^^^
A wonderful ending with a little twist. Brilliant thinking ... I can just picture the leaves dancing and prancing through the sky like snowflakes

You have done a wonderful job on this challenge!

    Deana,

When I first read this, I was taken back by the word choice. Very simple until you put them together.

"Here before you, reaching toward the sky
    Disrobed of velvet, pastel pink"

You started the stanza so romantically. Almost like a lover.

"Did you not lie beneath me?
    My beauty to behold
    DaVinci's canvas lay me bare
    In winter days of old"

This stanza was by far my favorite. Very soft yet powerful in its text. Personally loved the reference to Da Vinci.

Also loved the ending. At first, thought you a flower. But at the close of it realized [so I'm thinking] you were talking about apple blossoms.
    Well done dear friend,

    Always,
    Jeannie
