The Garden Of My Dreams

by Rachel RTVW   Mar 12, 2009

In the garden of my dreams
Lilacs run free for miles
Tulips and daffodils smile
Cotton clouds float above

All is peaceful and serene
Solar beams reach down
To give the kiss of warmth
Baby's breath welcomes you

There is a throne of roses
Thorns cease to exist
Brooks wave with water hands
Waterfalls throw rainbows to the sky

Lilly pads shimmer
The trees gently whisper
Sonnets of the coming spring
Harps and flutes accompany

Lavender bushes scent the air
Sunflowers dance and play
The great oak gathers carnations
In our lives all is fair and just

You and I stroll down memory lane
Daisies recant times past
Before us is the fountain of youth
Ivy blankets cushion our steps

In the garden of my dreams
True love reigns supreme
Bluebells and jasmine applaude
Then the alarm clock rings
