Vines

by Dani Ward   Jun 11, 2004

Life is a struggle you have to fight to keep going,
you are always held back by problems that seem like vines.
The vines are small and you are not knowing,
these vines will start to grow and become long lines.

As they grow they slowly curl around your arms,
they wrap around your legs and your stomach.
By the time you realize they are there they look like farms,
they have you and what you do is their pick.

You are hindered by the vines that hold you,
you can only do what they allow.
they let you have a limited reign of what you do,
and you are totally trapped by them now.

The vines are the problems in out lives,
the things that stop us from fulfilling our dreams.
Rid yourself of the vines you can with knives,
use a needle to sew life’s seams.
