Sleeping Alone(Free Verse)

by Ashleigh Skye   Mar 13, 2009

Head resting on feather pillows
sheets crisp like paper
locked within this glorious room
mind floating back
to when we slept under the moon
pebbles and stick beneath us
and my heart sinks as I realize
I'd rather be sore with you,
than sleeping alone in heaven.

Very enjoyable Ashleigh, I really liked it.

    sheets crisp like paper

^ I liked this description, it gives you an automatic sense of the sheets because we all know what paper is like.

I'd rather be sore with you,
    than sleeping alone in heaven.

^A beautiful loving thought, great ending. All in all I think you did a fabulous job with this short piece, nice work.
