Verbal Abuse

by Fire Catches   Mar 14, 2009

Have you ever been torn down
Where your self-esteem is gone
Left with your tail between your legs
Nothing around can be drawn

Have you ever been named called
Where you break down

You try to hide the pain
But in your tears you drown

Have you ever felt like nothing
Yet you try to find yourself
But all you can find is scars
Hidden beneath your shelf

Have you ever given in
Hope they'll be kind back to you
But all they keep doing is lashing out
All this you already been through

It's verbal abuse
I've been through it and back again
Telling does no justice
It'll just make them grin

*My mom is the master at making me feel this way. I love how you capture these feelings in such a simple way. The imagery makes people who can't relate understand you alot more. Great work my friend. I put you on my favorites. I really love your poems. Nik*

I know its hard, but you can't give up. Give it back just as bad. Beat them at their own game. Because they're only as strong as their words alow them to be. And because actaully, they're probably just as sad and messed up as the rest of us, they just vent by taking it out on someone else.
Never the less, this was another amazing write. I enjoyed it.
Don't give up, cause then they win :)
