Picture Perfect

by Lilly Tagloff   Mar 15, 2009

There you are, frozen in time.
Here's a frame, you'll be just fine.
Pick up the nail, perfect size.
Grab your hammer and nail it in right.
Now you're stuck in my heart,
secure and tight.

Your warmth pulses through me,
the ice is thawing.
I'm melting for you,
my love is dawning.
Look out your window,
what do you see?
Am I in your vision? I hope it's me.

My heart is rising.
My love is shining.
I feel like flying.
I'm sick of writing.
Feelings are singing.
My ears are ringing.

Wait, don't shut the curtans,
I'm still here.
I still have your picture,
please don't fear.
Your photo's not rumbles,
there's still a frame.
See the nail and hammer?
It's all the same.

Here...
Take every nail, secure it right.
Click the button, blind my sight.
The love's still there, all snug and tight.

But no matter where my picture stans,
I won't ever really be frozen.
Becuase, baby, your love...
It set me in motion.

WOW! that was amazing! 1 of the best i've read in months! There we so many perfectly crafted lines and ideas. I thought it was really cool how you added in the line "I'm sick of writing" I love it when an author throws in a little something remorse in the middle of something uplifting. It really shocks your emotions. the last 3 stanzas are spectacular I love the imagery, the word scheme, the rhyming. it's a superb finish! 5/5
