My Little Baby

Before I had the chance to know you,
You were taken away from me,
Without even a chance,
To think of what your name would be.

Took me quite a long time,
To decide what I was going to do,
Then, as I decide I'm going to keep,
I then go and lose you.

I was confused,
To be a Mum seemed a big jump,
But my mind was made up,
Knowing you'd be a little bump.

Now I've lost you,
And you're Daddy has just been told,
He was a little shocked at first,
Now I'm all he will hold.

He's concerned as I can't cope,
And he's always around for support,
Although we put on a brave face,
Deep down we're both distraught.

So rest my little baby,
Now you can have no fear,
Always be happy, enjoy your life,
And know Mummy and Daddy are always here.
