Love or Lust and Other Crazyness

by Blueleo   Mar 16, 2009

He claims he's found his soul mate
Not the first time he misread fate
Again and again finding an excuse
Bringing his heart only more abuse

She is so beautiful he again claims
Knowing nothing of her true aims
Love is but a vacant shell if lusting
One must be patient when wanting

Some times loneliness is a blindfold
Rapidly wrapping up lust to be sold
We, being so weak, quickly grasped
Only to find out air is all we grabbed

I loved the idea of the poem, which is true for me at my current impasse, a gentle reminder to look before we leap, however, something doesn't flow right with the last line for me. But good write all the same.

The words of this poem are so true.. Another great write.. so very well penned. You touch the realities of life with your words. I also love how your poems rhyme so easily.. and have a great flow.

    Take care..and please keep writing!
