Drunken nights, hungover mornings,
Laughing at each others pain,
Wrestling on the living room floor,
Fall down, stand up to do it again.
Snuggle with random movies,
Falling asleep on each other at night,
Slowly get up of the sofa,
To quietly turn out the light.
Leaving you sleeping on my shoulder,
You waking up to smile at me,
Yo say, 'My friend, you're very cuddly,
Your friend is all I'll ever be.
One night of a little passion,
We're still good friends,
Then the dreaded news, I'm pregnant,
That's where the fun ends.
A little while later I've even worse news,
I lose our baby in what seems a night,
You hold me close, cry, hug me tightly,
Tell me everything will be alright.
We're OK, dealing with the pain,
You're always there to comfort me,
And although I'll always want a little more,
I know that friends is all we'll ever be.
