Today brings love and happiness
As we celebrate a year of togetherness
for our love has stood through it all
bringing each other up if we fall
plenty of tears we had along the way
but by our sides we remained and stay
for I could never leave you no matter the fight
or the many times we were out of sight
proving to all who doubted we would last
and now we have put them in our past
I have a promise I would forever like to keep
that no matter how long the distance ill take the leap
I promise to love you forever within my heart
I promise never will we grow apart
I promise to take care of you when your sick or blue
oh please of please tell me you promise me too
that no matter the battle we will fight
no matter how dark it is without the light
that we stand together and we stand true
because I cant see my life without you
no matter the distance there may be between us
never lose faith and keep the trust
because ill wait a lifetime if more
to have you in my arms to love and adore
I will be giving that poem to my boyfriend this June 18th. It is our 1 year and I have never been so in love. Please tell me what you think. I just want it to be perfect. thanks!
