Life is like a sheet of paper

by LoveKeepsMeStrong   Mar 19, 2009

Life is like a sheet of paper
Waiting to be written on
Our mistakes will be scribed, for the whole world to see
They were written in pen, so can't be erased.
For the good times,
We have to make space, the small corners of the page
For mistakes govern our lives

Love is like a painting
With every person having their own colour
Don't mix them up for it creates a horrible time
Try to keep it to just one.
But that usually fails.
For like a painting, it takes four or five attempts to get it right

Hope is like a dance
Weaving and spinning out of control
It starts off small, but crescendos into brilliance
And then dies down again slowly and painfully.
For we can never really keep it under control

Fear is like a math's equation
Something we don't know how to solve
It puzzles us and annoys us
But when it's solved, we feel on top of the world
For these are the true achievements in life

So, make sure you can look at that page and feel good
Make sure that painting is filled with colours you like and don't regret
Make sure the dance leaves you feeling filled instead of empty
And don't let maths control your life.

I know it's hard, but it's not impossible
Make the most of now because it's our only time here
Let's leave this world knowing we've done something for it.
