The Master

by january friend   Mar 20, 2009

What is the proper way to turn thoughts to words?
Words that make us laugh, make us hurt.

Maybe someday the master will show you how.

How would you then make those words rhyme?
Pick a beat, keep the time.

Maybe someday the master will show you how.

Where does a story begin?
At the beginning, or does it actually start at the end?

Maybe someday the master will show you how.

When do you know when to finally stop?
When you run out of words to say,
When your hand grows cold.

Maybe someday you will learn how.
But only for now,
try your best to keep a steady hand,
keep your thoughts quick and true.

Maybe someday you will find
that the master has become you.

*For some reason I really love that line. It gets me thinking and I love that. I think this was a very creative piece and I love reading new ideas. This was my favorite out of the three you asked me to read. A lot my thought put into and depth as Karl said. This is one of your best piece I think. Keep it up hun :) Nik*

This one was better and more indepth. Asking questions makes the reader more involved, makes them ask the same questions to themselves and that way they feel a part of the poem. Nice job

I really loved this poem, but i dont think i really like the way it was 2 lines then 1 then 3 lines and then 1. It just seemed your set up was a little all over the place. But i still loved the poem itself, also i am a sucker for poems that end this way, like my poem where the person your revenging is yourself, i think they make for some great writes. Well this very amazing, keep up the good work and a well deserved 5/5
