Keep Moving Fingers

by No Need For A Name   Mar 21, 2009

Keep moving fingers
We're running out of time
No time for trembling
No quivering inside
Keep moving fingers
Keep inching towards
Another sunrise
Another day more in this world

Well I don't know if it's the salt in my veins
Or if it's the lack of blood in my brain
But today, I'm freezing on the spot
Legs go numb as muscles twitch
And my eyes are to sore to admit
I'm crawling back, I'm crawling back
And I won't let myself quit

Keep moving fingers
We're running out of time
No time for trembling
No quivering inside
Keep moving fingers
Keep inching towards
Another sunrise
Another day more in this world

These clocks they press on me like crushing weights
Their ticks and tocks seem like such a noise waste
Deafened, by the sound of passing out
Vision blurs and ears bleed
And the sound of that voice screaming for me to breathe
Don't give in, don't give in
God damn it don't you leave

Keep moving fingers
We're running out of time
No time for trembling
No quivering inside
Keep moving fingers
Keep inching towards
Another sunrise
Another day more in this world

And the sky is clear tonight
Not a cloud in sight
The stars they shine so bright
Illuminate the sky
Yet a storm is brewing here
Beneath the skies so clear
Of people held so dear
And a gathering of fears
The lights are so loud
The earth just seems to doubt
Don't take you final bow
Don't take your final bow

Keep moving, keep moving
Don't give in, don't you dare leave me
Keep moving, keep moving
God damn it don't you dare lose me
Keep moving, keep moving
Don't give in, don't you dare leave me
Keep moving, keep moving
God damn it don't you dare lose me

Keep moving fingers
We're running out of time
No time for trembling
No quivering inside
Keep moving fingers
Keep inching towards
Another sunrise
Another day more in this world

And my eyes are too sore to admit that I enjoyed reading these lyrics

Even as confusing as Don't take you final bow
    Don't take your final bow
its like you are getting into more proper English as you repeat

    The lyrics are intense

I read your Bio b4 reading your songs. I write music and lyrics myself, and can say poetry is the same, just a different style. Loved this song though. and since I did not know the tune, I had to make one up myslef. 5/5
