Half Smile

by Twisted Heart   Mar 22, 2009

I see you sit, upon a dream
Waiting there for me
Forever lost inside yourself
A captured fantasy
Inside the dawning of the day
You fade against the sun
But true you seem to follow me
At night when day is done.

Upon the moon you build your home
A place where you can breathe
Inside my mind you come to life
In vivid memories
There you can live, so hope can find
A star to wish upon
'Cause when the night flies into day
Your face and body's gone

And so I tarry through the sun
As moments turn the clock
Each bringing closer to the time
My dreams will be unlocked
For in the night as sun has set
My dreams will capture me
And lead me into happiness
As fake as fantasies.

That was just absolutely marvelous! So beautiful, Jeannie.

    I loved the line...

<Inside the dawning of the day
    You fade against the sun
But true you seem to follow me
At night when day is done.>

^^ that just took my breathe away, and as I read the rest of the poem... well, I was speechless. I don't know what to say, this poem was just so spectacular.
