Let's Keep It Classy

by Ixora   Mar 26, 2009

You wouldn't like me now
I gained 10 pounds and an awful attitude
Just so I could no longer fit into your dainty arms
Or smile at your jokes.
I've learned to captivate with sorrow
The likes of which even Shakespeare would applaud
I dance now in the gray matter that so kindly suffocates
And paint my merry world in ebony

.You would be so proud of me.

I'll forget you in a heartbeat;
Just you leave.
Still speaking no word above her own
Save, perhaps those of my selfish trial
Tattooed into complaints
For life beyond your allegory
But don't you whimper
Like you seldom told me:
She's beautiful.

-This makes about as much sense as [you] do.
