Hazy shade of grey

by NineteenMinutes   Mar 27, 2009

Your mind has grown foggy,
the world is unclear,
i kiss your cheek gently,
you don't know I'm here,
i stroke your hair,
sing to you and tell you about my day,
you don't recognize my face,
the world has all turned grey,
you close your eyes with confusion,
i close mine to hold back the tears,
you used to be my grandma,
now you're consumed with your fears,
i wish you'd remember me,
we used to be so close,
i love you grandma sleep now,
for you are just a ghost.
