Breeze

by Noir Fleur   Mar 29, 2009

As a soft, salty breeze
plays across my freckled cheek,
I think silently to myself
that this peace is what I seek.

The waves crash upon the sand
and blue meets blue out yonder.
Wind rustles the palm leaves
and allows my mind to wander.

I sigh in calm relief for
I have discovered blissful peace.
The solitude of being alone
is something I don't want to release.

As a soft, salty breeze
plays softly across my freckled cheek,
I close my eyes tight,
for I am unable to speak.

I rest in a sea of wealth
if silence is said to be gold.
And someday people will join me
away from the lonely cold.
