I was driving one day with only one thing on my mind,
The love of my life who was so far at the time.
I got a call,
As usual it was him,
We would talk about sweet nothings,
But then he says baby I have to say something,
He tells me about his girlfriend,
He's had for 4 years.
Which of course I came into this knowingly,
We were only to be friends with benefits,
But unexpectedly....
We ended up emotionally as well as phyiscally attached.
We just couldn't stand being apart from one another....
Almost 10 months into this love affair now,
We always tell eachother "I Love you".
But that day was different.....
Now he tells me how he wants to marry his girlfriend,
As much as it hurts to hear,
Like a knife in my heart,
I again knew this was going to happen.
She was there first I always said to myself.
I can't help it but I have to let him go,
He chose her,
So I tell him I love you..... but I understand.
I'm not mad just disappointed.
I say don't worry about me,
For I will always be here for you,
And I will always love you...
For you will Forever be my bestfriend and the love of my life.....
