Spring Fling (collab with TJ Becker)

by Sylvia   Mar 31, 2009

Like a playful child the breeze, gently tease the awaking sprouts.
As they yawn and stretch to a new life from seedling sleep.
Larkspur and violas wash away birthing soil in the morning dew.
Faces raised towards the sun in vibrant colorful smiles of spring.

Daises frolicking in the meadow, swaying in the wind, greeting butterflies,
Dashing and dancing through the air, gently kissing each flower,
Urging them to surrender their fragrance to sweeten the Spring air.
Bees watching in amusement, knowing this task belongs to them.

Trees jeweled with budding leafs, arms wide open accepting change.
Cherry blossoms burst into pink confetti and litter the ground.
Tender blades of grass, peeking through dark drab browns of winter,
Slowly changing the landscape into a velvet carpet of green.

Rambunctious robins, harbingers of Spring, singing joyful songs,
returning from their winter roost, laying their eggs of blue.
Mellifluous sounds, the birds supplying a symphony of existence
A Celebration of metamorphose and transformation of delivery.

Mother Nature so very proud of all her creatures for they
have created a wonderland of color, a masterpiece worthy of praise.
