Dreams of Love

I dreamnt of you and me as lovers
Taking care of one another
And the way we treat each other
Makes me smile to be together.

I played piano in my dream
And you enjoyed the sounds
So I felt like floating streams
As I was carried from the ground.

Dreams of love take me away
My sub-consciousness is in control
I'll make you smile whatever way
Seems to make you happy and whole.

At night I feel a cold chill
Without your warmth around
It blows down from every hill
And swings without a sound.

The heavy bleakness of September
Is making one last trip tonight
To freeze in place an ember
Of the light that shines real bright.

If I don't see you In my dreams
I'll feel something isn't right.
So I'll think of you until it seems
I'll be having a good night.
