Revolutionary Reasons (Collab with Teen Prodigy Inc)

(Dustin: Rap)

How often do we fight, to defend our conscience honor,
or battle for what's right, as the result of being a responder?
For the world is under attack, especially in a place called Iraq,
where we have no business being, so we need our soldiers back.
Today's advanced weapons and all the high tech gear,
doesn't and shouldn't be used, just to win a battle over who got near.

The rage of families back home, they scream out of agony and conflict,
wanted to return home, not be forced to fight under military restrict.
With all that's going on, the war is causing the economy to plummet,
more and more daily, like a reversed version of Everest's tallest summit.
Dumb it down or size it up, neither side really matters,
except the one that finishes the deal, and stop the building of ladders.

We have ladders and walls, when honestly we need to have bridges,
to construct a personal tranquility, not rough, ragged ridges.
It's so easy to make war, but yet it's so hard to write a peace treaty?
What's wrong with the picture is the fight wanted and peace not needy?
From an experts view, the solution's decision should be immediate,
like, "Bring us back now, so we can rest", not anything intermediate.

Now my verse is done for now, the mic is going over to Joe,
who has some words to speak, so go ahead man, go ahead and show.

(Joe: Song/Poem)

How often do we fight, a battle which isn't indeed ours,
or rally for those whom ask for freedom behind closed bars?
AK-47's, RPG's - what's the point of a needless fight?
When really our focus should be the economy and what's right.
I myself have a vivid story to tell, which is almost frell,
but in the end, we were almost gone without saying our farewell.

[May 2, 2003; an airfield in the depths of south of Baghdad]
"GAS! GAS! GAS! GET YOUR MASKS ON!!!" - shouted our Captain.
In utter disbelief - sprinting out the double-hinged doorway
a mushroom cloud occupied the once vivid blue skies display.
Afraid to inhale chemical agents from the attack I held my breath
in intense fear that it ultimately may cause a violent death.

Later learning the explosion came from an ammunition storage depot
just outside the perimeter of our airfield - something I'll never forget.
Displaced pain ran though eyes of all, wondering what would come next
unknown if we would move post - pondering on the regression of y on x.
In the realms of emptiness, sweet seemingly lies dwell...
beneath layers of glittering, over used chains from hell.

Victorious are the souls touched by the endless breezes
of truth, divinity and light while usage of lies increases.

    Interesting write:

'How often do we fight, to defend our conscience honor,'

This doesn't make sense - were you meant to be saying 'conscious honor'? That doesn't make much sense either. Also an 'in' needs to be placed before 'a place' in the third line.
The pentameter is all over the place throughout, and could do with being polished a bit.
It's also hard to critique since, I'm from UK and I have no say about the 'troops in Iraq', and as far as the message is concerned, it's fine; just I had trouble reading this since it jolts a bit too much. I think the idea of having this piece rhyme was a bad idea too, as some of it seems forced and it's not consistent (see first two lines of stanzas six and seven).
I liked the last stanza - it held promise but I found it too hard to read. I think:

'Now my verse is done for now, the mic is going over to Joe,
who has some words to speak, so go ahead man, go ahead and show.'

Is a bad idea in the midst of a serious 'poem', and is a bit immature, if this is a rap then the flow would be tighter and compact.

I'm sorry if what I've said seems entirely negative, it wasn't a bad poem, I'm just a bit confused by it..

Vice Versa Joe. A pleasure to collaberate with, and I hope we can do it again sometime.
