Love for Friendship

by Walter F Alvarado   Mar 31, 2009

All these things I feel
for you
I must forget and learn to
live without you

But I know you want to be
my friend
And I promise you we will be
until the very end

But first I have to make a
Sacrifice
love for friendship is the price

I promise you our friendship
will be the same...
Just that my heart wont beat fast
whenever you say my name

I will look at you as I did before
Just don't expect me to fall in love
with you anymore

Love for friendship is the price
I have to pay to keep you in my life

I was apprehensive when I started reading this, I was unsure of the structure but it developed beautifully. The emotion isn't to intense which fits nicely with the image of you beginning to move on from the feelings of love, even if not from the friendship. I was able to relate to this as an individual but it did not lose the authors own style. It was a very enjoyable read. One small typo "heart wont beat" should be "heart won't beat".
