Imagine this, the person you love,
is not the same as the one you date,
you feel that you're lost with nowhere to turn,
you think that it's best to just sit down and wait.
You turn to your friends,
try to ask for advice,
they say you'll be fine,
but you start thinking twice.
You go to your family,
and you want to know why,
nothing makes sense,
and you just want to cry?
You know the one you love,
could never love you back,
but you keep your hopes up,
while your heart turns to black.
The one that you date,
thinks it'll last,
but there's no chance of it happening,
cause time is going too fast.
You don't want to hurt anyone,
but it's something you can't change,
the one that you date realizes,
that you've been acting quite strange.
You start feeling awkward,
when you're with your date,
they ask what's wrong,
and why you're in such a state.
You admit to them,
that you're hurting inside,
from these horrible feelings,
you've been trying to hide.
Imagine all the pain you could see,
just from those couple of words that you said,
imagine how they'd feel right now,
even though your heart is near dead.
Imagine how you'd cringe in fear,
when their whole face filled with questions,
they'd try to fix this outburst of truth,
by saying all different absurd suggestions.
"We'll fix this!" they cry,
but you know that they're wrong,
you love someone else,
that love is too strong.
Imagine now that you've now lost both,
because you told the truth,
you're told you can't love so strong,
just because of your youth.
You know how you feel,
no-one can change your mind,
so you imagine how things could have been,
if you could just press rewind.
