In A Hole

So surprised
as the earth shook me,
awaking alive, inside and without
you,
or us

and it's all become evil
inside of the heart
...where we once stood

but it's so crazy
that somehow,
you're still amused
we're cold and it's gone
the rainshowers, torn all apart
(let's taste the sorrow now)

it's all in tears,
all around, the skies divide
so surprised

one soul must be left behind
holding these melancholy eyes...
our hearts shake to a still

i'll drop inside, consumed
by love's great hole in the earth--

in us all.
