Muse

The towers of your ego
so beautifully ornate
rise above the fortress of surperiority
that is yourself
amuse my primitive senses
tease my elementary taste

your mere trot captivates me
invokes feelings of complexity
so close to me, yet
so unfamiliar

I inadvertently fuel your psyche
or do I?
and while you issue empty threats
I am your sole applauder
yet you seem to dismiss
such inconvenience

one day you'll rule
the World of Nonchalance
Down Under
one day I'd be subject and queen
I'd be your sole.

and who would need society
disgruntled, ungrateful parasites
when you've got me
willingly subservient
willingly incomplete

This is a very interesting write, Your description of the person, shows the many different elements of your feelings for them. As if you see his faults but find them somewhat enjoyable! an excellent write.
