This is the end.

by Esther   Apr 3, 2009

Life is just one long winding road.
It's never ending.
Never ceasing, ever forgiving ever taking.

Lets cut out the niceties.
This life sucks,
shall we take a pact,
You and me?

We'll slit our wrists,
Jump off the cliff,
Drown at sea,
Overdose ourselves.

Lets end this.
We can swiftly bring on the next life.
You must agree this life is boring,
It will soon be over, lets just quicken our waiting.

What, no volunteers?
Well then...I'll see you on the otherside.

To bring about your own end no matter what people say or do to try to stop you. That's what I thought this poem meant. The speaker sees only darkness and longing for a change, the only way that they believe that they can end the darkness is by dying. But what they don't realize this that they are taking the easy way out. It is easy to give up, to stop fighting. The speaker must be able to to face the end yet keep fighting.

Liked the poem and the discription that you used mayed my heart skip a beat.

Wow, this is an interesting poem. I quite agree though I think life is pretty boring, but I also think I'm contributing to that boredom. This was well written, and had a good flow. The emotion was great. It was a little cliche, but you made it your own. Good job.

This poem was excellant. IT had good rhyme and a good flow to match. But you should try to enjoy life somehow and trust me I know it's hard but still try. Good poem though.
