The train ride through my life...

by AlmostLover   Apr 4, 2009

If you ever rode on the train through my life,
You see I was raised in world not so nice,
You'd see why I strive for myself and my life,
You'd see why I try as hard as I try...

I watched the best end up the worst,
I've seen how they truely hurt,
I had felt there pain,
As I let the rain fall but, unlike them I'm standing tall...

It's like a lullaby as the baby cries,
Like the painful nightmare where sadly the truth hides,
Where your grave is dug down deep,
Like the quiet sorrow your family will weep...

So, as the train ride was rode,
Are you happy to hear what you were told,
See the world truely is freezing cold,
But, there is more to my life that I had left untold...

The flow in the write is off, expecially in the first verse. Though after it flowed more naturally.

"It's like a lullaby as the baby cries,
Like the painful nightmare where sadly the truth hides,"

This is a great line and my favourite in this poem. A lullaby of a babies cries. A non cliche yet bittersweet meaning. Well done.
