Reflect

by No Need For A Name   Apr 6, 2009

So tell me why did God make the stars come out tonight
The man in the moon smile as I bask here within his light
The air just seems so smooth and I keep on down this road
Even though three miles back I was already home
Maybe it's to tell me to think, to think aloud

I'm searching for the good times that I once had
The moments I carried, the times where we laughed
But I can't stay there, can't dwell on the past
Time to make new moments for me to reflect

The man once told me to wonder in the moonlight
Well now I'm here and God does it feel right
Perfect moment down to the last star
Perfect down to the rhythm of feet and heart
And even though the wind is so cold
And this jacket does nothing to keep me warm
There is no other place, there is no other time
For me to be here, to be with night

I'm searching for the good times that I once had
The moments I carried, the times where we laughed
But I can't stay there, can't dwell on the past
Time to make new moments for me to reflect

There was a time
Not long ago
In which we could hide
Yet find each other
Now here is a time
And I'm here alone
But a sigh and smile
And I'm not alone

I'm searching for the good times that I once had
The moments I carried, the times where we laughed
But I can't stay there, can't dwell on the past
Time to make new moments for me to reflect

Yes, just as I thought a lyricist's output not my cup of tea and I can imagine this as a song is hard to
put to music and the timing very difficult. yet I will give you a 4/5 even though it is not my cup of tea there are three people comments in front of me who like it.

Wow, I really like this. I have a feeling this will make an amazing song. Who are your favorite groups. What kind of music would your lyrics most sound like. One of my favorite artist is Smile empty soul. I also really like breaking Benjamin's, and Second hand serenade. Anyway keep up the good work. I have no dought you'll go places with your talent.

Oh and as far as your commentary on my poem "last chance"
Not a problem, to be honest with you I'm not sure about its truths as to whether we live in a pre existence before were born. I just thought it up one day, based of my knowledge of different religions. you might like my poem
"infinite nothingness" check it out. (no religious ties)

do you have solid beliefs in god and existence? just curious. On of these days I think I may write a poem about my theory's, but thats all they are is theory's.

by the way I dig that you write lyrics any of them turn to full song with music and such?
