The Dead Romantics Society

by LitxUpxWithxLife   Apr 7, 2009

I am alone, the last of a dying breed.
Love, passion, loyalty, all part of a fading creed.
The Dead Romantics are all but gone.
No one to hold up traditions, to carry them on.

I am the world's last true romantic.
Now replaced by greed, lust, and all the sycophantic.
No more will chairs be pushed out.
No more will men quench their lady's doubt.

Alas my cruel world, Goodnight, I bid you ado.
No romantics are left, not even one of the few.
They have gone from the world where romance earns scorn.
For one more romantic will the world forever mourn.
