Around the Block

by Kuro   Apr 8, 2009

As I walk in this night air
I cannot help but feel in despair
Empty screams and broken dreams
Cloud my judgment
I can still hear the yells
No breeze, calm cold night
I dial my phone
Three people, Three missed calls
Everyone is too busy to care
The still cold air is soothing
Nothing like the storm in my head
The voices get louder,
Destroying my peace and quiet night
Eventually the quietness prevails
Drowning the noise
Like a diminuendo in my mind
...then
Nothing, soundless...
Thoughtless...
Peace...
...
...
...
Interrupted by a familiar sound
I'm returning from my little walk
The noise returns, I still hear them talk
Go again?
around the block
