A Book Worth Keeping

by Jay Sei   Jun 12, 2004

Remind yourself I don't
focus the surface of beauty.
An angel beyond the starlit gaze
is what I crave to see.
I sight myself lost in this
collision of our constant visions.
Lust is drunk but not enough
to make incisions.

Take man of this counsel
and let it soak into your mantle
of thoughts.

An errant clatter of wrongs
can shatter your perfection.
It's a call to bite my tongue
so it can bleed an echo of silence.

The wicked of the world
has left and set apart.
No cares for temporary flaws
have been furnished a heart.
All I ache for is the messenger being.
Only the content of the book
is worth the reading.

Take man of this counsel
and let it soak into your mantle
of thoughts.

An errant clatter of wrongs
can shatter your perfection.
It's a call to bite my tongue
so it can bleed an echo of silence.

Flaws have curtained itself away
(to see the fire)
and it will burn in the
witness of your smile.
Your life here is young and restless.
(I won't tire)
The presence behind the surface
has been desired.
