Beneath An Angel

by Liz   Apr 9, 2009

Such beauty kept, her eyes yet hold
In thine arms, are wrap and fold
Like a flower that buds before May
New life won't wait another day

Overwhelming love doth take a sigh
Swaddle to sleep, by breast she lie
Innocence abundant within her soul
Incomplete family, now made whole

Shining moon, she falls to dream
Never to wake, by terrifying scream
Tears fall, as her life drifts on
The cold is left, a soul now gone

Hearts hath shatter, glass to break
Given such joy, only now to take
Fate is final, no more shall saved
Beneath an angel, a name engraved
