The Dancing Dead

by Cate Rock   Apr 10, 2009

A glance was all it took.
All that pain and only one look.
Eyes sparkle and gleam,
Just like a crystal clear stream.

One man, with shimmering brown eyes, was all i had.
His mind using spies to corrupt me.
Corrupt me, interrupt me, and when its over...
Hes gone in a flash as my emotions erupt...oh so painful.

No words only stairs,
Well thought out plan,
Dismissed by judgmental glares.

Love. I think it was,
Yet still lost, he is.
And all because,
What he is, is what he is.

But now looking back,
Standing here dressed all in black,
Here in this graveyard,
Next to his grave holding flowers and a card,
All I can think of,
All I seek,
Is his eternal love,
The eternal love that was promised to me,
The one I thought I'd get.

That moment...
The one where he called me by my name,
and swore to me this wasn't a game...
I've found was a lie.

Scared I am
Alone in a dead cold silence
Rapid thoughts running for an answer...
I already know there isn't one...
Yet my mind still wanders o what could have been...

I've always known, this would be his end...

I'm terribly sorry about your loss ):

This was a good poem. You portrayed your emotions, as well as a scene clearly.
