Darkess became day

by desperately needing you   Apr 10, 2009

The clouds covered the sky
Night over day
The ground shook
Covered by rain
Her knees hit the floor
Hair drenched
Hand over heart
Nothing made sense
Screamed load
Lungs giving in
Tears far to gone
Nothing left to hold on to
Heart shattered
Across the wet streets
Cars passing by
Unnoticed by this girls destiny
Alone in mind
Alone where she stands
To be somebody
Makes no sense now
No reason to go on
Bullet through her veins
Sharp knife coming through
She was only living for him
Laid down still
Only movement was her hand
Rising to her head
This had to be it
The world slowed down
Time ran away
She swallowed her pride
As darkness became day

A lot of hidden meanings and metaphorical objects in this poem. The first read I didn't quite understand, but taking a second look it was easier to see some meaning. Great Job
