Marching on

by waiting for the unknown   Apr 14, 2009

So hard hearted, cold, alone
No one to trust
Won't even try
The seed of doubt has been sewn

Strong and silent
Dead with drive
Ignoring emotion and marching forward
have to stay alive.

Must continue,
See the end.
But it's oh so far away
I don't even want to pretend

Just a hollow body
with a barely beating heart.
Each counted, labored breath
talleyed from the start.

So continue on and make them happy
Satisfy their wants and needs.
Be a used and abused shell
It's just another deed.

Continue on with life
Their demands be your command
lie for them and nothing more
you all ready undertand

you've all ready given up
you don't care to find a way
you don't want to find a reason for yourself
to live from day to day.

I agree with the two above. This was such a well written piece with very emotional ideas. I think the more poems I read the better they become. You are truly a wonderful poet with a growing talent. Keep writing this amazing poem dear, they well take you far in life. Nik

Hey, it is quite sad. I did love the way you wrote it though, you've got an interesting mastery of teh English language. :) Hopefully we can talk more.
