Joyful Reflections

by Elapsed   Apr 14, 2009

Reflections ripple off a body of water
Burning from the moons full gaze
Celestial rotation carries on unfazed
As stars in the sky begin to blister

Joyfulness begins to wither
As does the pleasure of laughter
Crackling winds seem to murmur
Forgotten words left to cinder

In the hours of failing twilight
Constellations shine without a sound
Gravity pulling me to the ground
As a new day begins to write
