A Mother's Lullabye ( A lullabye not a poem )

by Jenna   Apr 14, 2009

Hush little baby, don't you cry.
Mama's gonna sing you a lullabye.
Soothing voice, to ease you to sleep.
Hush my little angel, don't you weep.
And if you get scared, in the middle of the night,
Mama's right here, it'll be alright.
Dream sweet dreams, dream peacefully.
Sleep my precious darling, my destiny.
------------------------------------------

I decided to write my own lullabye, for when I have kids. I love to sing, and I imagine myself sitting in a rocker late at night, and singing my baby/babies to sleep. The melody tune would be that of "Hush Little Baby" obviously lol.....

This was very well written, I enjoyed the read. Infact, it reminded my of "Lullaby" by Josh Groban. I don't really have anything to critique about it, it was well worded and well thought out, keep up the excellent work.

    Peace, Joe
