I would have to say no because in order for the soul to have a vessel to live in that vessel must have a heart. I think the heart and soul work together. Good job.

    Ma'am,

I am speechless... I have written a sensational piece of art... I just gaped at the screen continuously after reading the poem. I was like, "OMG! What could be the answer?" I think my answer's a NO. Bcoz soul is what matters the most...

Awesome piece of art. I am sorry I could vote just once... But I would like to vote atleast five times for this particular poem...

    Regards,

    Very meaningfull and deep write...

In the course of every seven years
all cells in our body are replaced.

Are we still the same person afterwards?
    ^^
its not the exterior features that define a person...its our inside... out heart... our soul... but how many people actually look inside a person!!

    because it is the soul
    that steers the body.
    Both elusive,

    but definably "you"

    ^^
    definately... beautifully penned...

    Ingrid,

I like this lesson in both biology and religion.
    Haiku inspired by you!

    In just seven years
    Every cell replenished
    Homo sapiens

    Refreshed of body
But what of ones mind and soul
    God is our anchor

Some very interesting philosophical questions raised here. I wonder if we are all an ongoing 'work in progress'?
I've enjoyed the philosophical questions asked in some of your recent poems, very refreshing.

Wow! What an insight you have into the human condition, and how well you have placed these thoughts into a poem! I am impressed!
Yes, our body may recycle itself every 7 years, until its final death, but our soul does indeed live on forever.
You have penned a very inspirational poem here Ingrid. I love it!
