Lover's Fight

by Jenni Marie   Apr 17, 2009

Even though we sometimes argue
Cruel words yelled in heated debate
Know that even though we're fighting
You'll always be my soul mate

Though our arguments often cut deep
Know most is in temper, don't mean what I say
For I love you more than anything else
Without you my whole world would decay

But just 'cause we don't always agree
Know that no matter what I'll never give in
For no one has ever made me feel this way
How you got me feeling deep down within

Sometimes things will be difficult
Wont always be a breath of fresh air
But I love you more than life in itself
That's why these words I declare

Darling you've got to understand
More you tighten the noose, harder I'll resist
Don't take it to mean that I don't care
For without you I'd cease to exist

Guess what I'm trying to say
Is even though it doesn't always show
Throughout all the arguments and fights
Each and everyday I love you even more

Jenni this is an amazing poem, your words of truth shine in this poem, every couple fights, and people need to know that even though sometimes bad words are chosen to describe feelings that, our better half will always be our better half, our forever will always be our forever, amazing poem, loved the word choice and flow, you're great

Wow you summed up exactly what I'm feeling right now in your poem. Very well written. I loved it.
