Fairytale Hell

by Hallo A Lilium   Apr 19, 2009

I'm here sitting on the dock at the bay
Memories sail by me in a gentle wave
That long ago night you left me stranded
Forgotten and abandoned and empty-handed

These gray skies close their eyes to weep
Lonely clouds that rain down hell and sleet
Patches of my heart lay sprawled on damp green
The grass sways like the ocean in front of me

Though it is warm there is a cold draft
Snowflakes pore down in a sunny bath
My anguish is soaked up in the dry sand
Tarnished and worn and holding mother earth's hand

So I'm not adrift but caressed by the heart of nature
Memories seal their place on my minds blank sheet of paper
A book left wordless and without a story to tell
The weathers really nice in my novel of a life called

Fairytale Hell.
