Sparklit, dreaming

by Unrequited   Apr 21, 2009

Where again
did you leave that
spark?
in the forests deep,
my heart is caught aflame,
in my soul's great eye

ash awakens
and dashes colors away
from you, my life
tearing your tears apart.

don't ask for future,
we're lost already
and the past
is much too
much
but take my hand
to love's
dark fire

and let us sleep
'til dreams entwine

a soul's deep
grace,
never to unwind

a spark lighting wind,
to carry us away
to the caverns
of the earth--

slivered moonlight and silence.

in my soul's great eye,
let us ponder
sorrowed ages,
and sleep as one
in the sweetly, deep-down earth
and secrets
we place upon our lips
