It is a nice thing to write about, especially affects me as a heartbroken person and all.
I liked the stanzas, they were short, but meaningful, the rhyme was a may be a bit forced, but it sounded good.
I like the second "I do" at the last line, because no one feels enough to say just one 'I do' for something that is really important, like the rising out of the dark, and the smiling after a heartbreak.
Overall, it is a great poem. I found it really enjoyable to read, easy to understand, but so touching and heartbreaking maybe.

Abuse is a terrible thing. I have experienced it firsthand. The physical scars will heal, but the emotional scars may lessen with time, but they never heal. Yes smiling again is hard to do but if you break free and that is possible, smiles will return. A very powerful honest write. Well done.

I do see some similaritys. Its amazing how others can affect our simple emotions. For so long i have wanted to laugh and smile, just be the old me. Im getting closer to that but still not there. Waiting on time to heal !!
