Another Fight

by Amy   Jun 12, 2004

I sit here in my room
i hear them yell and scream
CRASH...there goes another glass
please wake me from this dream

I turn up the music
block out the sounds
of yet another fight
things crashing to the ground

I stand, my knees weak
and open the door
only a few inches
less then before

I see them there
i cant stand the sight
of being a witness
to another fight

I hear their words
and slam the door
lean against it
then fall to the floor

I close my eyes
and i try and block out
all of my pain
and all of my doubt

I feel the tears
run down my face
i think of the day
i will leave this place

I get up from the floor
and sit on my bed
stare at the walls
wishing i was dead

I look into the mirror
and i hate what i see
this pale, red eyed girl
just cant be me

Another scream
and my heart beats fast
i wanna run away
and leave behind my past

Soon they stop
and its quiet again
I'm still here alone
my reflection, my only friend

Hands shaking
inside it burns
because i know
next time its MY turn
