The Careless State

by Laith   Apr 22, 2009

Streets crowded with mortified disgrace
Beneath the feet of the darken face
Movement of toxic mortal ash
Their wishes with god's own crash

On these four walls I've came to personify
The syndrome of a universe in a lettered try
With green words that lived among our cheeks
And innocent letters which are hard to seek

Letters became the acid of this fence
Letters are no longer a way of defense
For this wall can't breathe underneath this pain
So crippling its powers now they drain

I write while these walls are becoming thinner
I describe the unfairness of life's earthly sinners
I touch the untouchable wound to originate
A room with a view of the careless state

The metaphors in this write were unbelievable, and at first I couldn't understand this poem until reading it to the very end. It was beautifully written. 5/5
