You see this is an all new fairytale, referring to it's never too late
you asked me what happened and I said to wait.....
I took it to my grave, the story of a love that couldn't be broken
And hidden within the words that were obvious yet never spoken

Here goes the story of two broken souls and one life time
The best of friends, still however hiding the truth with a lie
The girl keeping a secret locked deep within her own heart
Little did she know the boy was keeping the same one, tearing him apart

Always together, everyone would always say
No use to tell them they'll figure it out one day
What wasn't obvious to themselves
Was obvious to everyone else

That girl would lay on the ground staring at the sky
Consumed with thoughts of him, and she didn't know why
Taking flowers, counting the petals....he loves me, he loves me not...
Praying for him, but she realized that was more then a lot.....

That boy never knew what to say
Getting more and more tongue tied everyday

Years went by each left their home town, still staying in touch
Two best friends tied at the heart by a harmless highschool crush
Every weekend they met up at that old coffee shop
Knowing it was easier to face love then to try to stop.....

One weekend the girl decided not to go
Work that week had been slow

Still carrying the memories of her in the palm of his hand
He had it all, and anyone he wanted, but he still wanted her
He hated himself for not seeing if they could of been more....

A girl lying upon cold tile looking for inspiration, that could fix her broken heart

The girl knows it's worth the risk, she still loved him after all those years
