Hell

by emily mackay   Apr 24, 2009

Unspoken words
neither unfold
unworthy choices
storys not told

Tiny fragments
of ones life
covered across
the sliver kitchen knife

Photo burning
ashes fall
proven wrongly
didnt no me at all

Simple lyrics
to a simple song
certain words
were directed wrong

Birds singing
there own little tune
stars are surrounding
the forgotton moon

spirals spinning
inside my head
cold dark message
imprinted instead

Dripping water
is dripping blood
emotions are powerful
they start to flood

A single second
is a long lost rhyme
courage givin
controlling time

But time is a question
with a answer unnamed
a desprate mind
with heartbreaking shame

A sunset is peaceful
but so is a song
the sun disappears
the lyrics are gone

A isolated feeling
of course i know so well
a distraught mind
welcome to my hell.

I found this poem intriguing. The words captured my attention immediately. The metaphors were greatly used.

    'A sunset is peaceful
    but so is a song
    the sun disappears
    the lyrics are gone'

^There are no words to describe this, I found it interesting to say the least. The flow in this write lacked in little places though was otherwise great. I especially love how (perhaps it was just in my head) but the poem began slowly before slowly increasing in it's sort of pace.
